We are seeking a Supply Science Technician to join our dedicated Science Department at a well-regarded secondary school in Preston, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and setting up practical experiments and resources for KS3 and KS4 science lessons.

• Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.

• Supporting teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe practical lessons.

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and school policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience as a science technician (school-based experience preferred but not essential).

• A good understanding of laboratory safety and the handling of scientific equipment and materials.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a busy science department.
