Science Technicians - Sunderland - September

Location: Secondary School, Sunderland Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full Time / Term Time Only Salary: £17,000 to £26,000 or more depending on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Technician to join our dynamic Science Department starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of engaging, practical science education in a well-respected secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up and maintain equipment for practical science lessons

• Support teaching staff during demonstrations and practical sessions

• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

• Manage stock and order supplies as required

• Assist with the development of teaching materials and resources

The ideal candidate will have:

• A science or similar degree

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting staff and students

• An understanding of health and safety in a laboratory environment

• Previous experience in a school setting (desirable, not essential)
