We're looking for Science Tutors to provide 1:1 support to children and young people across Hampshire on behalf of Local Authorities. You'll work with learners who require alternative educational provision, helping them develop subject knowledge, build confidence, and re-engage with learning.

With flexible hours and a September start, this role is well-suited to individuals looking to combine meaningful work with existing commitments while making a lasting difference to students who need additional support.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experience working in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
Strong Science knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, tailored sessions
Experience supporting children and young people with SEND is desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Access to a vehicle is desirable; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and school avoidance
EHCPs and other additional learning needsEach student requires an individualised approach, with a focus on engagement, confidence-building, and achieving positive educational outcomes.
