Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated Teaching Assistants to work in a range of dynamic secondary schools in and around Nailsea and Backwell. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in education or looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting.

Role Details:

• Position: Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools

• Location: Nailsea and Backwell, North Somerset

• Start Date: September 2025

• Contract: Full-time, term-time only

• Salary: Competitive, based on experience ( £90 - £110 a day)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students inside and outside the classroom to help them reach their full potential

• Assisting teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and pupil engagement

• Providing 1:1 and small group support, including for students with special educational needs (SEN)

• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• A genuine interest in education and a desire to support young people

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach

• Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

• A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
