Job Title: Security Officer – Part-Time
Location: Winchester
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary, Fixed-Term (Until End of October)
Hours: 25 hours per week across 3 days
Salary: £15+ per hour (depending on experience)
Overview:
We are currently seeking a part-time Security Officer to join a further education college in Winchester on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with facilities or security experience to work in a professional and student-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide a visible security presence across the college campus
Support with access control and general site safety
Liaise with staff, students, and visitors in a professional manner
Carry out routine patrols and assist in emergency procedures

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS (within 3 months or on the update service) – essential
SIA licence – desirable but not essential
Experience in security or facilities support roles – desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, proactive, and reliable
