💰 Pay: £15.65 per hour

📅 Hours: 42 hours, 4 on 4 off

The Security Officer plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and customer‑focused environment by following Assignment Instructions and upholding Securitas’ values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. A Security Officer must hold or be working toward a valid SIA licence. In this role, the Security Officer ensures professional standards while delivering consistent protection and support on site.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. 

The role involves protecting property and premises by preventing unauthorised access, conducting regular patrols, managing keys, checking vehicles, maintaining accurate logs, and controlling visitor/contractor access. The officer must uphold health & safety standards by following procedures, reporting hazards, supporting staff and visitors, ensuring clear emergency routes, and notifying the Security Operations Centre during incidents. Responsibilities also include loss prevention by identifying risks, securing the site during patrols, operating security equipment, and carrying out searches and initial investigations. Providing excellent customer service, maintaining a professional appearance, and handling calls appropriately are essential. Additional duties include completing paperwork, performing effective handovers, supporting management tasks, and demonstrating Securitas’ core values. Key competencies required are self-management, decision making, communication, operational excellence, and relationship building & networking.

• Eligibility to work in the UK, Five-year checkable employment history.
• 18+ years old.
• No criminal convictions.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to work day, night, and weekend shifts.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• First Aid certification.
• Public Facing Role
• Security Experience Essential
