SEMH Teaching Assistant

Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time (PMs only, 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm)
Pay: £15.94 per hour

Romano Education is recruiting a supportive and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in a KS2 class in Kirkham. The school is seeking a strong SEMH Teaching Assistant to build positive relationships and promote emotional regulation.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will use de-escalation techniques, facilitate small-group emotional literacy sessions, and work closely with the pastoral team. This is a great opportunity for a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a meaningful part-time role.

To be considered as an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• Experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional or mental health needs

• Confidence in managing behaviour and maintaining a calm learning environment

• A passion for supporting vulnerable learners
