SEMH Teaching Assistants

Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with several primary and secondary schools across Redruth and the surrounding areas, who are looking for dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their teams on both short and long-term placements.

About the Role:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students who may struggle with behaviour, or mental health challenges. You'll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide a safe, nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Assisting with behaviour management
• Supporting the development of personalised learning strategies
• Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage trust and progress

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or additional needs
• Calm, compassionate and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
