SEN Learning Mentor - Secondary SEN School - Southwark - Immediate Start

Location: Southwark, South East London
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term, full-time
Daily Rate: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
School Type: Secondary SEN School (KS3 - KS4)

Remedy Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established secondary SEN school in Southwark, seeking a skilled and committed SEN Learning Mentor to join their team. The role is ideal for someone experienced in working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other complex needs in a secondary school setting.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students aged 11-16

• Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic engagement

• Build positive relationships and act as a trusted mentor and role model

• Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, therapists, and external agencies

• Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

• Previous experience supporting young people with SEN, particularly in a secondary or specialist setting

• Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and related needs

• Confident, calm, and resilient under pressure

• Able to build rapport with students who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education

• Team player with excellent communication and behaviour management skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

• Right to work in the UK

• Relevant experience or qualifications in education, youth work, or psychology (desirable)
