SEN Support Assistant - Secondary SEN School - Southwark
Location: Southwark, South East London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP
Pay Rate: £95-£115 per day (dependent on experience)

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently looking to appoint an experienced SEN Support Assistant for a long-term position in a secondary special needs school in Southwark. This is a full-time role supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, sensory impairments, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis in and out of the classroom

• Assisting with communication and learning tasks tailored to individual EHCPs

• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies

• Providing personal care when required (training provided if necessary)

• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working within an SEN or secondary school environment

• Comfortable supporting students with complex needs and personal care

• Strong communication, patience, and resilience

• Team player with a positive, proactive attitude

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
