Job Description - SEN Teacher EYFS


Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher - SEN (Autism) School
Location: Preston
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract Type: Part Time - 3 days per week
Start Date: ASAP
Are you a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism? We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate teacher to join our specialist SEN school, where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

At our school, we provide a nurturing and structured environment for children with Autism and complex needs. Our dedicated team works collaboratively to deliver an engaging, sensory-rich curriculum tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges.

The Role:


As an EYFS Teacher, you will:
Create a supportive, engaging, and structured learning environment for children with Autism.
Plan and deliver creative, play-based learning experiences that align with the EYFS framework.
Use a range of communication strategies, including PECS, Makaton, and sensory integration techniques.
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic development.
Monitor progress through observation and assessment, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.

About You:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYFS Teaching Qualification.
Experience working with children with Autism or additional needs (desirable but not essential).
A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to teaching.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for making learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful.

· All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy
· Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
· You must have legal right to work in the UK
· You must be willing to attend a registration interview
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
