SEN Teaching Assistant – Sporty, Energetic & Supportive

Are you an active, enthusiastic individual who loves working with children and making learning fun? This fantastic SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity in a welcoming Redbridge primary school could be the perfect next step in your education career.

This role is ideal for someone who brings energy, empathy and creativity into every interaction. You’ll support pupils with additional needs—including autism, ADHD and SEMH—using movement, sport and play to help them learn, regulate and thrive. What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN needs, helping them stay engaged and confident

• Using physical activities, structured movement and outdoor learning to build motivation

• Assisting the class teacher with routines, behaviour strategies and targeted interventions

• Supporting emotional regulation with calm -down tools and positive communication

• Encouraging independence, resilience and a love of learning

What We’re Looking For

• Sporty, active and confident working with lively or challenging pupils

• Calm, patient and able to build secure, trusting relationships

• Proactive and reliable, with the ability to act as a positive male role model

• Experience with SEN, behaviour support or mentoring (school or community settings)

• Commitment to a long -term, consistent role
