SEN Tutor

Are you a passionate and patient educator looking to make a real difference in a young person's life?

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with a young learner currently in Year 7 who has an EHCP and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This student is not currently working at age-related expectations and requires tailored support in English, Maths, and engagement in learning.

• Year 7 student with an EHCP
• Diagnosis of ASD
• Requires support with core subjects and learning engagement
• Needs a nurturing, consistent, and creative approach to learning

• Experience working with neurodiverse learners or those with additional needs
• Strong skills in English and Maths
• Ability to build rapport and trust with young people
• Creative and adaptable teaching style
• Commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable

• 1:1 tuition delivered in a supportive environment
• Planning and delivering engaging sessions tailored to the learner's needs
• Monitoring progress and adapting strategies as needed
• Working closely with other professionals involved in the learner's education

Position - Tutor
Contract or position start date - ASAP

Full time/part-time - Part time- 10 hours per week across 4 days
Hours - Monday to Friday- Flexible dates and timings
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide references upon request
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
