SEND Finance and Personal Budgets Officer

Job Title: Temporary SEND Finance and Personal Budgets Officer (Part-Time)
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days (1 in-person day on Wednesday preferred; other days remote)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SEND Finance and Personal Budgets Officer to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong finance background and a passion for supporting services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of Home to School Travel finance, including authorisation of payments within an established framework.
• Support the review and development of financial and operational processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide accurate and timely financial and commissioning support to the Strategic Commissioner for SEND, including input into the Joint Strategic Needs Analysis.
• Coordinate and maintain an overview of home to school travel planning and routes to inform future commissioning decisions.
• Contribute to strategic priorities by supporting access to education and promoting independence, while ensuring the needs of the most vulnerable children and adults are protected.

• A commitment to delivering high-quality support for SEND services

This role offers flexibility in working patterns, with a preference for a Wednesday as the in-person day. The remaining two days can be worked remotely, and the specific days are negotiable.
