Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £120 – £190 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education is delighted to be recruiting a SEND Teacher to join a specialist provision in Scunthorpe, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for a dedicated teacher who thrives on supporting students with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and complex communication or sensory needs.

The Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

• Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment for pupils with diverse and complex needs

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies where necessary

• Contribute to the wider school community, attending reviews, meetings, and training as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS

• Experience working in a specialist or inclusive education setting

• A deep understanding of strategies to support students with SEND

• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

• A child-centred approach, with empathy, patience, and resilience
