Senior Accountant | Hybrid (Derbyshire) | £35k–£45k

Are you an experienced Senior Accountant, Practice Accountant or Bookkeeper ready for a broader, more hands-on role?
We’re partnering with a well-established Accountancy firm based in Derbyshire, currently entering an exciting period of transition and growth. With a loyal client base and a strong cloud accounting setup (Xero), they’re now looking to add a confident, capable senior team member who’s ready to get stuck in and help shape the next chapter.

The Role:

• A 50/50 blend of accounts preparation and bookkeeping/payroll
• Manage your own portfolio of c.70–80 SME clients
• Liaise directly with clients – from day-to-day queries to annual accounts
• Work within a supportive, close-knit team
• 3 days a week in the office (Ashbourne area) – flexibility around this
• Open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate

About You:

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
• ACA/ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified
• Solid grounding in both bookkeeping and accounts prep
• Comfortable with cloud accounting software – especially Xero
• Personable, hands-on, and keen to take ownership
• Possibly from a larger firm, now seeking a more rounded, visible role in a smaller team
• Open to working with a blend of traditional and modern accounting processes
