Senior Bookkeeper Part-Time

TPF Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established accountancy practice, currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic and growing outsourcing team.

This firm’s outsourcing department plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client service and underpins the success of the wider business. You’ll be joining a team of talented bookkeepers, management accountants, and payroll administrators, where your skills will be highly valued, and your development supported.

As a Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll take ownership of your workload and play an integral part in supporting and guiding the team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out bookkeeping duties for a diverse portfolio of clients using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks
  

• Supporting clients with software and bookkeeping queries
  

• Liaising with clients to ensure timely submission of records and VAT Returns
  

• Managing and submitting VAT Returns and CIS Returns
  

• Completing bookkeeping to trial balance, including bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and more
  

• Preparing relevant schedules and financial reports
  

• Helping to prioritise team workflows and address any day-to-day issues or queries
  

To succeed in this role, you will be:

• An experienced bookkeeper with 5+ years of experience, ideally within an accountancy practice
  

• Confident using cloud-based software (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
  

• A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
  

• Well-versed in VAT legislation and compliance
  

• Able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines
  

• A team player with a proactive approach and keen attention to detail
