Senior Bookkeeper (Part-time)

fast-growing, reputable construction and property firm based in the Eastleigh
area. Our client is known for delivering high-quality developments across
Hampshire and the surrounding areas. Due to ongoing expansion, they are now
seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive,

collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role offers flexible working
arrangements and can be structured as either full-time or part-time, with a
minimum of 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry
  out day-to-day bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable/receivable,
  bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger
  
• Manage
  the monthly CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns, ensuring full
  compliance with HMRC guidelines
  
• Process
  subcontractor payments and apply CIS deductions accurately
  
• Prepare
  and file VAT returns on time and in line with current legislation
  
• Assist
  with month-end close procedures and support the production of management
  accounts
  
• Liaise
  with project managers to monitor job costs and contribute to accurate
  financial reporting
  
• Maintain
  well-organised, up-to-date, and audit-ready financial records
  

Requirements

• AAT
  Level 4 qualified or equivalent bookkeeping/accounting qualification
  
• At
  least 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience, ideally including 2+
  years within the construction industry
  
• Strong
  understanding of CIS compliance and regulations
  
• Proficient
  in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  
• Excellent
  organisational skills and attention to detail
  
• Strong
  communicator with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  
• Comfortable
  working both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
