Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a highly respected manufacturing business based in Doncaster, in the search for an experienced Senior Buyer to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional to take ownership of the purchasing function during a period of change and growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving cost-efficiency, improving supplier relationships, and ensuring continuity of supply within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Lead the end-to-end procurement process across direct and indirect categories

• Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure best value, quality, and delivery performance

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers in line with company targets

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including production, planning, and finance

• Monitor and report on KPIs and procurement performance metrics

• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations

• Proven experience in a proucrement role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

• Experience in using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions

• CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but not essential
