Job Description - Senior Legal Advisor

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

  • To support Head Counsels in the UK in providing global legal advice and assistance as required.
  • The work encompasses a broad range of commercial legal advice for Richemont Group in the UK directly supporting the Group’s UK-based Brands Alfred Dunhill, James Purdey & Sons, Peter Millar UK, Watchfinder . Richemont UK operations and Laureus World Sports Awards in terms of their global legal affairs.
  • To assist and review, draft and negotiate contractual agreements/arrangements in respect of a wide range of general commercial and charitable matters to include: NDAs, consultancy/service agreements, standard terms & conditions, sponsorship, licensing, permits, venue agreements, event agreements, media, grant agreements, competitions & promotions, advertising & marketing, e-commerce/online, data protection / privacy, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution etc.
  • To monitor legal developments and advise on the implications for the business to make appropriate recommendations.
  • To identify legal risk areas and advise on the implications and to make appropriate recommendations and provide solutions where possible.
  • To liaise with the businesses in order to understand the implications of projects in respect of which legal implications/issues may arise.
  • To provide general support and assistance to the UK Commercial legal team, including dealing with ad hoc global legal queries.
  • To support on real estate matters in the UK including leases, renewals and licences.
  • To liaise with external counsel and other external advisers where appropriate.
  • To advise and manage contractual disputes, termination of contractual and non-contractual commercial relationships.
  • To assist with compliance and corporate governance issues. 
  • To support training and promote greater awareness of policies and procedures.
  • To keep up to date with relevant legislation and assess its impact on the business.
  • To conduct legal research.
  • To assist and/or manage contentious matters including disputes with third party suppliers, etc.
