Senior Practice Accountant

TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is proud to be recruiting for a well-established independent firm of chartered accountants in Folkestone, Kent, who are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant.

This is a broad general practice position offering exposure across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT, reporting directly to the Partner. You will work in a small and relaxed environment, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still enjoying strong career progression prospects.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing statutory accounts to review stage
  
• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns, and VAT returns
  
• Undertaking general bookkeeping duties using Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
  
• Supporting, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members and trainees
  

• You will have 5+ years experience within an accountancy practice.
  
• You will be AAT / ACA/ ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
  
• You will have hands on experience of accounts, tax and VAT preparation.
  
• Part-time hours will also be considered.
  

• £38,000 - £48,000, dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
