Shop, Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Aim and influence

• Overall responsibility of retail & e-commerce warehouse including Health & Safety & Compliance.
• Consistently manage and coordinate weekly stock deliveries to each shop.
• Manage fulfilment for online shop
• Make sure an efficient process is in place for weekly shop deliveries.
• Provide accurate seasonal stock take for shops goods in warehouse.
• Ensure that all health and safety statutory requirements are met in respect of facilities, equipment, staff and volunteers.
• Provide logistic support across all new shop openings, pop ups, stock generation

Financial and supervisory responsibility

• Line report management - Warehouse Operative x 2 (Drivers)
• Supervision of external volunteers to ensure best practise adhered to regarding health & safety induction and tour of the building.
• Supervision of corporate clients to ensure best practise adhered to regarding health & safety inductions & tour of the building.

Health & Safety

• Ensure that all health and safety statutory requirements are met in respect of facilities, equipment, staff and volunteers.
• Aware of the requirements of the Data Protection Act and follow local codes of practice to ensure appropriate action to safeguard confidential information.
• Some support of shop maintenance will be necessary eg PAT testing.
• Ensure up to date Risk Assessment is completed and checked on a regular basis.

Person Specification

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, event management or production
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of audiences
• Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines in ambiguous or challenging situations
• Strong IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office and Excel Experience of working on own initiative and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills to overcome barriers or obstacles and adaptable to handle unexpected complications
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks (e.g., lifting, carrying, bending, pulling) as necessary for the role. In accordance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, the employer will provide appropriate equipment, training, and risk assessments to minimize injury risks.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence to fulfil job-related travel requirements.
• Experience of supervising and motivating volunteers
