Shuttle Bus Driver PRN

Position Summary:
We’re seeking a Part Time PRN Shuttle Bus Driver at Challenge Unlimited, Inc. The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for transporting clients safely to and from the company Skills Training Center and/or residential homes for work and special events. The Shuttle Bus Driver assist clients entering and leaving the vehicle and secures wheelchairs for safety. The Shuttle Bus Driver will also inspect, fuel and clean the vehicle, and submit receipts, logs and reports.

• Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
• Shift: On call as needed, Monday-Friday, 6AM - 10AM and 1:30PM - 4:30PM Flexible to Job demands 
• Location: Swansea, IL
• Must have a valid driver's license

Job Duties:

• Drive company bus to transport clients to and from work and for special events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document findings and notify supervisor of any maintenance, insurance, or license registration needs.
• Assist clients with entering and exiting the bus as needed and secure wheelchair safety fasteners.
• Refuel and clean bus inside and out.
• Complete daily mileage/rider pickup reports and forward reports and gas receipts to supervisor.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. 1+ years of driving a bus or van preferred. 
• Certifications or Licenses: Current valid driver's license. Pass company provided training certification for First Aid, CPR, and CPI within 4 months and maintain valid certification during employment.
• Pre-employment Tests or Other Criteria: Physical Capacity Test, Drug Test
• Checks & Driving:
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.
  • Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
  • Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria and maintain a valid driver’s license.
