Site Supervisor, Caretaker

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per year (pro rata)
Hours: 25 hours per week (part-time)

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Site Supervisor to join a welcoming Primary School in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with maintenance, caretaking, or facilities experience who takes pride in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment.

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for pupils, staff, and visitors

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks across the premises

• Ensure site security, including unlocking/locking the school and managing alarm systems

• Maintain health & safety standards, including risk assessments and compliance checks

• Support cleaning, waste management, and groundskeeping duties as required

• Liaise with contractors and service providers when needed

• Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Supervisor, Premises Officer, Facilities Assistant, or similar role

• Practical skills in maintenance (basic plumbing, electrics, joinery, painting, and general DIY)

• Knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, and fire safety procedures

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Competitive salary of £24,000 - £25,000 pro rata
