Pay: £110.00 - £125.00 Per Day

The Role:

Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and inclusive school community in Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils across a range of needs, including: Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Communication and Language Needs.

• You will work closely with SENCO's, class teachers and support staff to deliver tailored interventions, adapted curriculum and support plans.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support across Key Stages.
• Promote inclusion and independence, adapting strategies to suit individual pupil needs.
• Assist with EHCP targets and contribute to review meetings and reporting.
• Use a range of communication techniques, including visual aids, Makaton, PECS (Where appropriate)
• Support behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Lead sessions and cover classes as required, under teacher direction.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification
• Experience in special needs schools or settings, helping run, lead or teach sessions
• Enhanced child and adult DBS check
• Comfortable supporting across range of needs and age groups
