Position Details:

• Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour
• Shift Pattern: Adhoc
• Qualification Required: First Aid at work

Job Purpose:

As a Sports Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all facility users. Your main responsibilities will include preparing and supervising public use of all areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring security at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with supervising staff to deliver top-notch service to all customers.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and security throughout the facility.
• Assist and advise members on the safe and effective use of equipment.
• Conduct fitness suite inductions for those aged 14 and above.
• Daily inspection of the fitness suite and equipment; initiate repairs as needed.
• Provide first aid treatment during emergencies.
• Perform pre-opening checks of the building and equipment as outlined in the Operations Manual.
• Follow chemical cleaning routines in compliance with COSHH regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure coverage during opening hours.
• Communicate with the Duty Officer regarding repairs and any safety concerns.

• A valid First Aid qualification is essential.
