Job Description - Stock Controller

Stock Controller (Part-Time, 20 Hours per Week)

Location: Wendover, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Weatherall Equipment & Instruments Ltd. has been a trusted name in gas detection and monitoring equipment since 1966. As the exclusive UK distributor for Riken Keiki, RKI Instruments, and Toray Engineering, we provide cutting-edge portable and fixed gas detectors, analysers, and calibration equipment to a wide range of industries.

We are now looking for an experienced and proactive Stock Controller to join our Wendover-based team. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to improve stock management processes, implement technology-driven solutions, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate stock records and manage inventory levels
  • Pick and pack customer orders
  • Monitor stock movements, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
  • Improve and streamline stock control processes and procedures
  • Utilise technology to optimise stock management and efficiency
  • Work closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal departments
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with purchasing and stock forecasting as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations
  • Strong IT skills, with experience in stock management systems (EXACT system experience desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset to drive improvements
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • The role involves physical tasks such as loading/unloading, moving stock, and working in a fast-paced environment, so the candidate must be comfortable undertaking these duties
  • Full Drivers licence for import collections and adhoc deliveries in company van.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
