About the Role

Our client is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to drive best-in-class procurement practices across our organisation. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will shape procurement strategy, deliver value, and influence key decisions at a national level.

Key Responsibilities

As Strategic Procurement Manager, you will:

Lead category management for your spend area, delivering procurement strategies that align with organisational goals

Develop and implement sourcing plans, ensuring timely and compliant procurement activity

Deliver high-quality tenders in line with procurement regulations and internal policy

Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to stakeholders across the organisation

Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement

Identify and deliver cost savings and non-financial benefits, reporting progress against KPIs

Manage and mentor a Procurement Manager, supporting their professional development

What We're Looking For

Progressing toward CIPS or equivalent professional certification

Strong knowledge of public sector procurement and the Procurement Act 2023

Experience delivering complex tenders and achieving measurable benefits

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
