SUN Systems Accountant

Altum Consulting is proud to be partnering with UK-based international charity dedicated to well fare. They are seeking a part-time SUN Systems Accounts to support their global team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the SUN accounting system, managing its development, functionality, and day-to-day operations to meet the evolving needs of a growing international charity. Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, you will support teams across the UK and international offices, ensuring efficient, secure, and accurate system performance.

• Manage and maintain the SUN accounting system, Q&A, and associated modules

• Ensure system security, access rights, and user permissions are properly controlled

• Lead on configuration, upgrades, and technical development

• Provide user training, guidance, and support to global finance teams

• Collaborate with internal and external IT teams on integration and system issues

• Design and maintain reporting templates and ensure smooth month-end processes

• Manage data imports, reconciliations, and audit readiness

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

• Extensive hands-on experience with SUN Systems (v6.4+), Vision/Q&A, and related tools

• Strong knowledge of financial controls, data structures, and accounting processes

• Excellent systems analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting skills

• Confident in managing cross-functional stakeholders and providing training

• Prior experience in the charity, non-profit, or international development sectors is desirable

This role can be offered with flexible working arrangements of 1-2 days in the office with salary negotiable depending on experience, up to £70,000 FTE, pro rata for 3 days per week.
