Teaching Assistant

Location: St Austell and surrounding areas
Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: ASAP, whenever you're ready
Contract: Flexible - day-to-day, long-term, or temp-to-perm
Hours:Full-time or part-time, term-time only

We're working with schools around St Austell looking for friendly, reliable Teaching Assistants who want to make a real difference. Whether you've supported children in mainstream or SEN settings, or have experience in other youth roles, this flexible work offers genuine impact.

No formal qualifications needed - a good attitude, patience, and some experience supporting young people (including those with special educational needs) is what counts.

• Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, or alongside the teacher

• Helping children stay focused, confident, and engaged

• Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges

• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support

• Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally including SEN

• Is patient, approachable, and proactive

• Can follow routines but also adapt to pupils' varying needs

• Works well within a team and communicates clearly

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

• Two references from the last two years

• The right to work in the UK
