Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to work one-to-one with a Year 4 pupil who uses a wheelchair. This is a mornings-only role in a friendly and inclusive primary school, starting in September on a long term basis ( full academic year). The role is to support and to encouraging the child's independence and mobility within the school environment.

• Supporting a Year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis during the morning session

• Encouraging the child's independence and mobility within the school environment

• Providing gentle assistance around the classroom and school (no personal care required)

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil can access the full curriculum

• Building a positive, consistent relationship to support learning and emotional well-being

• Start Date: September 2025

• Hours: 08:45 - 13:00, Monday to Friday

• Term Time Only

• Location: Morecambe

• Contract: Ongoing, with potential for long-term placement

• Experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly mobility challenges, is desirable

• Calm, reliable, and encouraging personality

• Ability to promote independence while offering the right level of support

• Team player with strong communication skills
