About the RoleAs a Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support learning across the curriculum, assist with classroom management, and help ensure all children—regardless of ability or background—have the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
Whether you’re experienced or just starting out in education, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to grow, learn, and play a key part in a child’s development.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
Provide tailored support for children with additional needs (SEND, EAL, etc.)
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to pupil well-being, behaviour management, and pastoral support
Support learning through play, creative activities, and hands-on tasks
Experience working with children (school-based or other settings)
A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A genuine enthusiasm for primary education
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent); a TA qualification is a bonus
A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
