Job Description - Teaching Assistant - Supply

Teaching Assistant - Supply Work
Location: Accrington
Start Date: September 2025

We are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team for flexible supply work across primary schools in Accrington. This is a great opportunity for those looking to gain varied experience, build confidence in the classroom, or simply enjoy a more flexible work-life balance.

Whether you're newly qualified or have previous school-based experience, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils' learning under the direction of the class teacher
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to help children reach their potential
  • Assist with classroom routines, behaviour, and engagement
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and age groups

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • At least 6 months of experience in a school setting (paid or voluntary)
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • References covering the last 2 years
  • A CV detailing your full employment history over the past 10 years, with explanations for any gaps
  • Legal right to work in the UK
