Technical Manager

We are supporting a company based in Worthing who are recruiting for a Technical Manager on a permanent basis. This role offers full-time and part time hours (Monday to Friday, 32-40 hours per week) and paying a salary between £35k-£50k per annum (DOE). This is fully office based with free parking on-site.

Duties will include:

• Responding promptly and professionally to inbound and outbound enquiries dealing with quality issues
• Managing on-site audits and completing documentation
• Maintaining the QMS and document control
• Training the GMP audit requirements through the operations team and ensuring correct actions are taken and recorded when required
• Ensuring taste panel exercises are conducted
• Collecting samples for third party testing, following schedules and ensuring records are updated and sent to the lab when required
• Responsible for the collection and maintenance samples and swabbing
• Overseeing the process and suggesting improvements to help implement changes for the business
• Carrying out quality checks, investigating quality issues, updating production records, and ensuring orders are labelled correctly
• Organising and attending meetings when required
• Dealing with customer complaints and queries in a professional and timely manner
• Monitoring returns of goods to ensure these are controlled and updated efficiently

To be successful, you must have at least 3 years' experience in a Technical or Quality Assurance role or similar within food manufacturing. You must have experience writing technical documents and implementing changes, as well as having excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
