Platinum Employment is seeking a talented Temporary Care Home Chefs to cover various shifts in care homes across Wantage and the neighbouring areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to pick up extra hours, gain experience in different care settings, and make a real difference to resident's well-being through the power of good food.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals in line with residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
• Ensuring all food preparation and handling adheres to the highest standards of hygiene and safety regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
• Working collaboratively with care home staff to ensure a smooth and efficient catering service.
• Adapting to different kitchen setups and procedures across various locations.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Chef, ideally within a care home, hospital, or Education setting.
• A strong understanding of dietary requirements, including allergies and special diets.
• Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating appealing and nourishing meals.
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable).
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work ad-hoc shifts, which may include weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
• Access to your own transport may be beneficial due to the variety of locations.
