Job Description - Temporary part-time Accounts Assistant

Temporary part-time Accounts Assistant

London

3 month duration (Monday - Friday inclusive from 9.00am - 1.00pm)

£15.00 - £17.00 per hour

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading set of barristers' chambers based in Central London. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will assist in all aspects of Chambers administration and accounting. The role is part-time (Monday-Friday inclusive from 9.00am - 1.00pm), and is OFFICE-BASED.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Process invoices and expense claims for approval & payment by cash, card or BACS
Process & post barristers and staff expenses
Maintain petty cash receipts
Prepare and collate BACs payments to suppliers, members of Chambers and staff for review and authorisation
Maintaining filing systems
Run accounts to identify and rectify any discrepancies
Assist with reconciliation of petty cash, bank & loan accounts
Assist with reconciliation of credit card statements
Updating supplier details on SUN
Respond to account queries from Members of Chambers, suppliers and clerks.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

A minimum of 6 months accounts experience
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in working with Sun or a similar accounting system is desirable
