TEMPORARY PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR LOVELY FAMILY HOME

A lovely family of three are looking for an experienced and confident all-rounder Housekeeper to assist with all housekeeping duties in their lovely family home. The family are looking to hire someone on a part-time, self-employed basis so ideally the candidate should be based in the area already. Working 20 hours per week at 4 hours per day over 5 days. The contract would be starting asap until January 1st 2026.

Daily duties will include, a high standard of cleaning in all areas of the home, laundry duties, wardrobe management, helping with food preparation and pet care duties. You should be house-proud, work quickly but to a high standard and be able to take initiative to get the job done. Responsible for the overall cleanliness, organisation and upkeep of the property, you will have an excellent eye for detail and be flexible and open to other ad hoc duties as required.

The family do have two French bulldogs and are ideally looking for candidates who are pet lovers as well as child friendly. You should be well presented, calm and discreet, having good communication skills is essential for this role. One of the parents does work from home, so discretion is key for this role as well as remaining professional and boundaried.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• General cleaning, upkeep and organisation of all areas in the home
• Laundry management and ironing, including caring for fine fabrics and wardrobe management
• Deep cleaning when and where necessary
• Cleaning/maintenance of utilities
• General tidying and light cleaning of the families cars (inside)
• Meal preparations such as peeling and chopping, organising food items
• General tidying of the outside area such as sweeping and light gardening when required
• Walking, providing enrichment, feeding and tidying up after family’s dogs

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Prior housekeeping experience and proven longevity
• Confident in meal preparation
• Fluency in spoken English
• Hardworking and dedicated
• Good time management and good communication
• Self-motivated and able to work alone
• High attention to detail and exacting standards
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Excellent checkable references
