About the Role
As a Uniformed Public Services Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to post-16 learners, focusing on the skills, knowledge, and values needed for careers in public services. You will foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that encourages ambition, teamwork, and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching sessions across Uniformed Public Services qualifications, including BTEC and related courses
• Develop and adapt learning resources to meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
• Promote core values such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, and citizenship
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices
• Support learners’ progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
• Relevant experience in teaching Uniformed Public Services or related courses
• Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the uniformed services sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a further education or post-16 setting
• A background in uniformed services (e.g., military, police, fire service)
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and current practices within public services education
