Volunteer Counsellor

The Student Counselling Service at Barton Peveril College is able to offer placements to work with students on a one to one basis, to qualified counsellors or counsellors in the advanced stages of training on a recognised counselling course (ideally studying for level 6, but may consider level 5).

We cater to a diverse student population all within the 16-19 yrs age range, who are usually undertaking A level studies. Students complete an online referral form to access the College Counselling service.

We offer induction and ongoing supervision. You will be expected to commit to a full college year one day per week, seeing a minimum of 4 students per day once course approval is submitted. Group supervision currently takes place on alternate Monday or Thursday mornings.
