Warehouse Operative

Simple Recruitment are looking for a Warehouse Operative for a permanent opportunity with our client in Midsomer Norton.

The Job:
Processing and dispatching customer orders including the accurate completion of the company stock records.

• Receive and inspect deliveries from suppliers, ensuring items are correctly checked, tested, and booked into stock records accurately.
• Pick, pack and schedule dispatch of customer orders efficiently and accurately, maintaining up-to-date stock records throughout.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock book records, including logging goods received, items dispatched, and internal stock movements. Support regular stock audits and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages or issues, and follow procedures to ensure efficient inventory control.
• Carry out quality control (QC) testing on hardware devices and components to ensure all products meet company standards before being dispatched. Document and escalate any faults or quality concerns in line with internal procedures.
• Flash and configure machines with the appropriate UK firmware. Ensure devices are fully tested, and ready for customer use.
• Keep the stock room clean, organised, and safe. Ensure items are clearly labelled, stored appropriately, and easily accessible.
• Work with the Customer Support and Sales teams to meet customer requirements and assist in resolving product-related queries.
• Consistently follow company procedures and contribute to maintaining a high standard of operational quality across all warehouse activities.
• Anything as required by the business.

The Salary:
£25,000 per annum (pro rata based on hours worked)

The Hours:
Monday to Friday
8.30am to 12.30pm

About You:

• Experience in a warehouse or operations environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with quality control and stock management procedures is a plus.
• Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to testing and inspection.
• Willingness to learn technical product handling (full training provided).
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow structured processes.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
