Job Overview:

Happy Nest Nanny and Maternity Agency is proudly assisting a wonderful family in Chester in their search for a warm, experienced, and flexible weekend nanny. This part-time role will primarily focus on caring for two delightful children aged 5 and 2.5 years old.

The family are seeking someone for most Saturdays and at least 2 weekends per month. They deeply value a healthy work-life balance and are understanding about occasional flexibility around weekend commitments. The role includes occasional travel, overnight stays (with private accommodation), and the opportunity to provide holiday cover and babysitting, if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for the children

• Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and development

• Preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children

• Supporting daily routines, including bath time, bedtime, and nap schedules

• Light household duties related to the children, such as their laundry, tidying up toys, and keeping common areas clean and organised

• Working in partnership with the parents to ensure the smooth running of the household

• Babysitting on an ad-hoc basis, if desired

• Travelling with the family on occasion (with notice and travel support)

• Offering overnight care when needed with comfortable self-contained accommodation always provided

• Providing holiday cover for the family's full-time nanny when available

Key Dates for Immediate Coverage (Urgent):

• July: Fri 11th (5pm) Sun 13th (6pm)

• July: Mon 14th (morning) Mon 21st (afternoon) Flexibility offered; 20th and 21st are especially important

• July: Fri 25th (5pm) Sun 27th (afternoon)

• September: Fri 5th (6pm) Mon 8th (7am)

Ideal Candidate:

• Warm, kind, and confident with children aged 2-6 years

• A proactive, experienced childcare professional with a flexible and helpful attitude

• Comfortable with overnight stays and occasional travel

• Happy to work collaboratively with parents, respecting their values and routines

• Committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment

• Holds an enhanced DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and at least 5 checkable references
