Welder/Fabricator

This role will be working away up to 50% of the time. Accommodation is included along with a food allowance.

Duties

• Perform TIG, Stick, MIG, MMA, Hard Face welding, Light to heavy fabrication work, Sheet Metal work, on-site fabrication
• Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately fabricate parts
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in the fabrication area
• Provide mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the fabrication process

Requirements

• Strong fabrication skills with experience in sheet metal work
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to metalworking
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills
• Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding equipment operation and maintenance
