Tradewind Recruitment is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to work as Trainee Teaching Assistants Primary or Secondary school in North Somerset, starting in October 2025.

About the Role:

Job Title: Youth Worker / Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Nailsea, Backwell, Yatton, Clevedon, Portishead
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30)
Pay: £89 - £100 per day (PAYE, negotiable based on experience)
Age Group: KS1 - KS4
You will work alongside teachers and other professionals to support students who need academic guidance, emotional regulation, and a trusted adult in their day-to-day school life. You do not need school-based experience - just a genuine interest and passion for helping young people.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting students with Special Educational Needs
Helping with classwork and creating a safe learning space
Encouraging positive routines, confidence and independence
Being a mentor, role model and consistent presence
Full training provided - no teaching qualifications required!

Who Should Apply?
