ZI429 - Part-Time Live-Out Housekeeper - St. Albans, UK

A busy, welcoming family seeks a part-time, live-out housekeeper in St Alban's. The ideal schedule would be 3 days per week for 5 or so hours per day, however they are also open to two longer days per week, and they are open to offering up to 20hrs per week if preferred. The role is available immediately, however the family are keen to find the right fit and so won't rush into anything.

• All general general cleaning, to include mopping, polishing, wiping, vacuuming, dusting etc, of the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home
• Ensuring all glass surfaces (mirrors, consoles, tables etc) are regularly cleaned and are mark-free
• Regular cleaning of the bathrooms and high-use areas
• General household organisation and tidying (making beds, general maintenance of household spaces to a high standard)
• Regular deep cleaning
• Household laundry and ironing
• Change bedlinen and towels weekly
• Occasional supervision of contractors and vendors 
• Household-related shopping in person and online, monitoring stock levels and noting any items that need replacing)
• Assisting with general household tasks as needed 
• Occasional meal preparation for the family if confident and happy to do so!
• Schedule car maintenance and take cars into appointment
• Miscellaneous errands such as dry cleaning, getting spare keys made etc
• Periodic organisation of drawers, kitchen cupboards, bathroom cabinets, pantry etc

The ideal candidate is a detail-orientated housekeeper with a great deal of initiative and who is able to work independently.  Applicants should have:

• Prior experience in a similar private household role
• Knowledge of caring for high-end materials and clothing 
• Be comfortable picking things up quickly and with anticipating household needs
• A fantastic work ethic, taking pride in a job well-done and in ensuring a clean, tidy, organised and welcoming environment
• An organised, proactive, and highly detail-oriented personality with a meticulous approach
• Prior experience in a family environment with children
• A naturally organised personality and be comfortable implementing systems
• Warm, respectful, calm, and professional personality
• Discreet, reliable and consistent, with excellent judgement and common sense

• £18-£20/hr
