Elected Officials to Protect America's mission is to create a safe, prosperous, and healthy planet, we empower leadership from elected officials and civic leaders to protect our environment and fight the climate crisis. The nation's leader, in organizing veterans who are lawmakers and frontline leaders on the intersection of the environment and human society, our programs focus on collective solutions. Our programs support solutions and policy development at the local, state, and federal levels. EOPA educates lawmakers through training, collaborative exchange of ideas, and public engagement through value-based communication. Our network connects elected officials to create high-impact and systemic change through bold and consistent leadership to implement policies that - Foster and promote policies that combat climate change, advance the transitions to clean energy systems that strengthen our economic resiliency, and enhance national security. - Protect and conserve public lands and waterways — enhancing environmental protection to prevent and eliminate destructive practices, protect watersheds and keep the land vibrant for future generations. - Fight environmental and racial injustice for all peoples through training and hands-on experience that enhances the development of public leaders to serve the communities most impacted by the climate crisis.
