2026 Parks Seasonal Maintenance

Assists with maintaining beautiful, clean and safe city park facilities, grounds and landscaping maintenance of city properties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs maintenance and upkeep of city parks and properties including lawn care, restroom maintenance, ornamental planting areas and playgrounds. May also assist with preparing ball diamonds, sports fields and assist with cemetery maintenance and operations.

Operates a variety of types of small and light equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, pruners and various hand tools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must pass drug test & criminal background check.

Ability to clearly communicate verbally and understand and follow directions

Ability to work well with others

Ability to quickly learn and perform the necessary lawn care and facility maintenance duties and skills

Special Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must possess a valid Utah Driver’s License.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

Tasks require variety of physical activities, generally involving muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, lifting, etc. Talking, hearing and seeing essential to the performance of the job. Daily exposure to weather extremes and seasonal conditions. Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals and materials. Common eye, hand, and finger dexterity required. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, discriminating thinking. Frequent local travel required in normal course of job performance. Periodic exposure to hazards associated with working in the public right-of-way. Occasional physical demands may occur requiring strength of back, arms and legs requiring extreme muscular exertion and strain
