ALCS Assistant HS Track & Field Coach

ABUNDANT LIFE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ASSISTANT HS TRACK & FIELD COACH

We are seeking an Assistant High School Track & Field Coach who is passionate about mentoring
student-athletes both competitively and spiritually. The ideal candidate will support the Head Coach in
developing athletes, with jumping experience preferred but not required, while modeling
Christ-centered leadership and character.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting daily practices, with emphasis on technique, conditioning, and athlete development


• Provide coaching support for track and/or field events (jumping events a plus)


• Help supervise athletes at practices and meets


• Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth


• Support meet-day logistics and event management


• Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and school administration


• Uphold and promote the mission, values, and faith statement of the school

Qualifications

• Previous coaching or competitive experience in track & field


• Knowledge of high school track & field rules and safety practices


• Ability to positively connect with and motivate high school students


• Strong organizational and communication skills
  


• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coaching or competing in jumping events (long jump, triple jump, high jump, or pole vault)


• Prior high school or club coaching experience

Compensation:  Seasonal stipend
