Job Opportunity: Applications & Project Specialist with CriticalAire in Westerville, OH

As an Applications & Project Specialist at CriticalAire, you will play a key role in supporting our growing team by assisting with applications engineering, estimating, project coordination, and customer support. You will help prepare proposals, coordinate project details, respond to customer inquiries, and ensure executed orders progress smoothly from start to finish. You’ll work closely with customers, vendors, account managers, and internal operations to ensure project success.

In this role, you will:

• Develop pricing estimates, scopes of work, and proposals.


• Use manufacturer-specific software or coordinate with vendors on equipment selections.


• Assist in the day‑to‑day management of executed orders, including logistics and documentation.


• Coordinate project details, schedules, and labor requirements with operations.


• Provide technical assistance to customers, account managers, and internal teams.


• Support customers with technical product questions.


• Generate and maintain accurate project files, proposals, and reports.


• Assist with submittals, drawings, and other project documentation.


• Communicate proactively with customers, vendors, and team members.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively, and taking ownership of their work. They should be comfortable working independently, staying organized, and providing excellent customer service.

Additionally, this candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience accepted.


• 2-4 years of HVAC or related experience; preferred.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OneNote; AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to make decisions independently and problem-solve effectively.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
