Assistant Construction Manager

• Support daily construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor work progress and assist in maintaining the construction schedule.
• Help implement safety practices and support compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate material logistics and assist with resolving site issues.
• Maintain accurate site documentation and prepare progress reports.
• Participate in walkthroughs, inspections, and quality control tasks.
• Contribute to managing punch lists and ensuring close-out readiness.
• Involvement in a large-scale, high-visibility construction project.

• Degree or training in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in construction supervision or coordination, ideally on Greenfield or Brownfield projects.

• Familiarity with industrial construction environments and safety protocols.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with tools like Procore or MS Project is a bonus.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to be on-site full-time in Sumter, SC.

• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
