Assistant Director of Activities

The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing at Pawling is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Activities

Position Type: Full-Time - Temporary - Guarantee of 6 months
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Schedule: 2 or 3 days at Pawling location 7am-3pm with 2 or 3 days at River Valley Poughkeepsie location. Monday-Friday position.

The Grand Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Director of Activities to temporarily join our team at our skilled nursing facility. This is a key support role focused on assisting in the planning and execution of meaningful recreational programs that enhance the daily lives of our residents. If you’re creative, compassionate, and driven to make a positive impact, we’d love to meet you! This position is split between two local locations - Pawling & Poughkeepsie.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Support Recreation Programs: Assist in organizing, leading, and evaluating a wide range of engaging activities tailored to the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.


• 
  Resident Engagement: Foster participation and build relationships with residents to ensure programs are inclusive and personalized.


• 
  Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Activities and interdisciplinary teams to maintain a consistent, high-quality recreation schedule.


• 
  Program Implementation: Help manage logistics for events and outings, ensuring all necessary materials and permissions are in place.


• 
  Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to help evaluate program success and areas for improvement.
